CLAUDETTE regains intensity after tragic path across Alabama and Georgia

| Storm Report 2021

From west to east:

Whilst we were relieved that maritime interests had a fairly easy ride from CLAUDETTE, this storm took a terrible toll as it crossed Alabama and Georgia with at least 12 fatalities reported, with a number of young lives cut cruelly short. This is now set to pass south of Norfolk, Va. with winds currently gusting 45 knots across the Outer Banks making an early return to tropical storm strength. This is expected to peak fairly soon after crossing the coast as it accelerates harmlessly seaward

Disturbance Ten is now centred around 650 miles due north of the mouth of the Amazon producing enhanced shower and thunderstorm activity as it heads west at 12 knots. Prospects ahead are not likely to allow significant development as it heads towards the Caribbean.

Stand by for a short period of tropical storm force winds across the Outer Banks of North Carolina, otherwise stand easy.
