Gulf of Mexico defences holding strong.

| Storm Report 2021

From west to east:

Disturbance Ten hit strong upper level shear overnight as it crossed the north Caribbean on its way west. This has lost all signs of organisation and threat, much to the disappointment of the many – including the Canadian guy  – who had this down as a certain tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico next week. The siege defences are holding – for now, but it is early season and warm water awaits.

Disturbance Twelve is now centred 450 miles south-sou’west of the Cape Verde Islands, headed a touch north of west at 12 knots.  Conditions ahead are variable and currently only marginally favourable for development as it shapes up to reach the Windward Islands next week.
