Strong high pressure continues to dominate the Atlantic basin with dry air continuing to stream off the coast of North Africa into the convergence zone, effectively suppressing cyclone development.

Disturbance Twenty Five is the only feature across the region. This has not moved far from the Cape Verde Islands but has started getting steam up and is moving slowly north-west. Despite the absolute assurance of meteorological fire and brimstone from the Canadian guy, this has only a brief opportunity before reaching the Atlantic wall of sand where development prospects are very slim indeed.

Stand easy.
