Disturbance Nineteen has opened out into a tropical wave centred around 850 miles north-east of the mouth of the Amazon headed west-nor’west at 12 knots. This has lost surface organisation but still has some scattered showers and thunderstorms associated with it. This is now expected to move to the north of the Leeward Islands on Sunday then across Puerto Rico overnight on Sunday night. Thereafter upper level shear is expected to prevent development as it crosses the northern Caribbean.
