Heavy rain over Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia as IAN bows out.

| Storm Report 2022

From west to east:

The last knockings of IAN is crossing North Carolina as a much dissipated frontal low pressure area. This will track to the north-nor’west and dissipate over Virginia today. Nonetheless, heavy rain will still pose a threat to Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia with up to 4 inches in places.

Disturbance Thirty Seven has piped up 650 miles north-east of the mouth of the Amazon headed west at a snail’s pace. This is expected to accelerate towards the Caribbean in the coming week. At present, development opportunities are limited

Disturbance Thirty Six is still rather disorganised, situated 250 miles south-west of the Cape Verde Islands headed west at just 5 knots. Environmental conditions ahead are positive for development, but steering currents may turn this early into the central Atlantic. Early days.

Stand by for heavy rain over Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia as IAN’s finale otherwise stand easy.
