Two uninspiring disturbances at sea
Wednesday 22nd June 2016
Disturbance seven is now close to landing almost directly over the border between Honduras and Nicaragua. While this has been on final approach, showers and storms associated with it have increased but proximity to land prevented any tropical development. The system is nonetheless expected to bring heavy rainfall to parts of Central America during the next 48 hours.
Disturbance eight is centred around 700 miles north east of Amazon delta, moving west at 18 knots and should continue on this track for the next few days. A couple of unreliable modellers have this down for storm development. I don't.
