Two weak disturbances westbound
Monday 10th July 2016
Disturbance twelve is just passing north of Lake Maracaibo now, westbound at a pointless 21 knots. This won't develop at such a speed and will disappear into Central America over the next 24 to 36 hours.
Disturbance thirteen is currently centred around 1400 miles east of the Windward Islands, and is moving west at 15 knots. No tropical development is expected other than gusty showers in the Windward Islands in 2 to 3 days. This is still a little early, there having been no July hurricane since DENNIS in 2005.
