Slight development prospect in mid-Atlantic
Sunday 2nd July 2017
Disturbance Eleven is now a day's steaming west of the Lesser Antilles moving west at around 15 knots. This has little sign of organisation and environmental conditions are likely to continue to keep a lid on this as it heads for Central America.
Disturbance Thirteen has dropped its speed to a leisurely 6 knots. This is just past the mid-Atlantic point and has started to drift north on a west-nor'westerly heading which should take it to the northernmost Lesser Antilles by next weekend. This is looking a little more likely to develop now. Early days but worth watching.
