Tropical Depression Four in pointless hurry
Friday 7th July 2017
Tropical Depression Four is now 790 miles east of Barbados, charging west-nor'west at 22 knots. This will take the depression north of the Leeward Islands on Sunday causing some brief bursts of strong winds and heavy showers. That should be about it for this system which has been weakening steadily in unsuitable environmental conditions at a pointless ground speed. This is likely to lose shape in the next 48 hours and will not develop further. There is some activity along the African coast, well to the east of our area of interest, of which more tomorrow.
