Three non-developing disturbances seaborne

Tuesday 11th July 2017

Tropical Depression Four still remains at rest to the north of Puerto Rico expected to shift to the west-nor'west over the next few days bringing increased precipitation and thunderstorms as it crosses The Bahamas & Florida from Thursday over the weekend. Thereafter, it will track across the eastern and north-central Gulf of Mexico but as things stand, without significant development.

Disturbance Fourteen is now around mid way between the African coast and the Leeward Islands. This is still choking on Saharan sand and travelling too fast to organise so I can't see any signs of meaningful development at the moment despite the whispers amongst the odd modeller or two.

A new system designated Disturbance Fifteen has emerged off the coast of west Africa and seems to be set to encounter the same conditions at a similar ruthless ground speed as its predecessor.

Early days. Stand easy.
