Mid-season calm across the reporting zone

Friday 21st July 2017

DON disappeared from our radar screen overnight, now ashore in Nicaragua.

Disturbance Seventeen is now centred around 350 miles north east of Barbados and moving to the west-nor'west at 18 knots. This will pass well to the north of the Caribbean where there are in any event, environmental conditions firmly unfavourable for further development. At worst, this may cause some heavy rain and thunderstorms across the The Bahamas early next week. What we in England generally know as 'summer'.

Disturbance Eighteen is now around 280 miles south west of the Cape Verde Islands, headed west-nor'west at 10 knots. This is also headed for unfavourable environmental conditions.

It would seem that we have a few peaceful days ahead across the reporting zone. Enjoy.

Stand easy.
