Rain around Azores and central Caribbean
Tuesday 14th November 2017
Disturbance Fifty Nine is still loafing about, now some 320 miles southwest of the Azores producing some showers and thunderstorms. It is still possible that this may acquire some tropical characteristics over the next couple of days however environmental conditions will become less favourable as the week passes. In any event, this is unlikely to be a significant threat to any land areas.
The weather is expected to remain unsettled across the central Caribbean over the next week. Rain could be locally heavy across eastern Cuba, Jamaica, Hispaniola, the eastern Bahamas and eastern Central America but any chance of cyclone development seems to have passed now.
