All eyes on a new disturbance in the south-western Caribbean
Friday 18th May 2018
Modellers' gossip is bearing fruit today with Disturbance Two shaping up in the south-west Caribbean. This is drifting north at little more than walking pace but is expected to bring rain to central America early next week There seems to be a general consensus that this will eventually make its way to the Florida peninsula, at the very least as a rainmaker in around a week from now. Some reliable sources are convinced that this may become the first tropical storm of the 2018 season although this seems to disregard what appears to be some upper level shear in the neighbourhood. We'll see.
