Rain across south eastern US

Monday 21st May 2018

Disturbance Two is now centred between Honduras and the Cayman Islands moving slowly north. Modellers are all over the place with this one as far as severity goes but most are in agreement that this will head for the eastern Gulf of Mexico and along the Florida peninsula next week although one or two less reliable agencies are drawing dotted lines into the western Gulf of Mexico.

There is scope for development but a sweep of wind shear should keep a lid on it. This shear is from a low pressure trough across the Gulf of Mexico which is bringing heavy rain across the south east Gulf, Florida and south eastern coastal states.

Stand easy.
