Wellingtons in Texas...
Friday 15th June 2018
Disturbance Three has crossed the Yucatan peninsula and is crossing the Bay of Campeche, shredded by upper level shear from the north west. As expected, this has not organised at all, only serving to bring heavy rain and thunderstorms along the entire coast of Texas from Brownsville to Port Arthur over the coming weekend.
Disturbance Five is closing on the coast of Nicaragua now, westbound at 25 knots and will disappear ashore shortly without much of a fanfare.
Disturbance Six is centred around 450 miles north-east of the mouth of the Amazon, moving west at 8 knots. This is still fighting shear from the west and sand from the east meaning little chance of development aside from rain ahead for the Windward Islands.
Welly boots ashore in Texas, otherwise stand easy.
