Texas bound rainmaker
Saturday 16th June 2018
Disturbance Three is still making its way slowly north west across the western Gulf of Mexico, nicely subdued by upper level shear from CARLOTTA, on the other side of the fence in the eastern Pacific. This will be a wet weekend - and beyond into next week - for the western Gulf of Mexico as well as over northeast Mexico, coastal Texas and south-west Louisiana. Rain estimates are being downgraded slightly.
Disturbance Six is now about 300 miles north of the mouth of the Amazon, westbound at 14 knots. This has decelerated slightly but still unlikely to develop as it passes the Windward Islands in a couple of days.
Rain ahead in Texas, otherwise stand easy.
