Sand continuing to call the shots across the region

BERYL has lost any unique profile and has disappeared into an occluded front in the north Atlantic.
Disturbance Sixteen is passing around 100 miles north of the Netherlands Antilles, westbound at 22 knots. This is very weak and losing traction in dry, sandy air.
Disturbance Seventeen is around 500 miles north east of the mouth of the Amazon moving west at 18 knots. This also weak, struggling with sand and not expected to develop.
