Roarie Bummlers for Scotland
Friday 17th August 2018
The last knockings of ERNESTO are now around 750 miles north of the Azores accelerating to the north east at 25 knots. This is still producing some fresh winds in line squalls, up to gale force in places but diminishing quickly. This may bring some moisture and the odd gust to the northernmost the west coast of Ireland and Northern Ireland into Scotland on Sunday but otherwise only a couple more uncomfortable days at sea.
Disturbance Twenty Eight is just about to cross the Lesser Antilles where it has already introduced heavy showers and a scattering of thunderstorms. This will continue moving west-northwest at 13 knots with only a slight chance of development before it disappears altogether over the central Caribbean.
