Environmental conditions becoming favourable for cyclone development
Wednesday 29th August 2018
Disturbance Twenty Nine is crossing the Leeward Islands now, headed west-nor'west at 10 knots. On this track, this system will brush the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico over the next couple of days before approaching the southern Bahamas. Environmental conditions may at that time allow for some development around the Florida peninsula.
Disturbance Thirty is passing the Cape Verde islands now headed west at 8 knots. Some opportunity for development may arise if this survives the Atlantic crossing in about a week from now. The Canadian guy has his eye on this one.
Weather watch needed now.
