OSCAR headed for hurricane strength

Tropical storm OSCAR is currently 850 miles east-sou'east of Bermuda headed west at 18 knots producing winds in excess of 75 knots at times. Environmental conditions are ripe for development and OSCAR may reach hurricane strength tomorrow. The storm will track towards the west tonight, with a turn towards the north and northeast tomorrow into Tuesday. Thereafter OSCAR will become extratropical by Thursday as it gets picked up by an upper-level disturbance. No land areas will be impacted.
Lumpy seas in the western Atlantic otherwise stand easy.
