OSCAR racing northeast

Wednesday 31st October 2018

Hurricane OSCAR is now centred 675 miles east-nor'east of Bermuda sprinting north-east at 25 knots. This course and speed will see OSCAR transition into an extratropical cyclone tonight as it accelerates to the northeast, weakening as it does so. The system may still bring strong winds to portions of northwestern Europe late on Friday into Saturday but the Canadian guy has stopped pointing at my house.

There are no other significant rumblings across the region.

Another uncomfortable day for fish and sailors otherwise stand easy.
