Thunderheads developing in Bay of Campeche
Friday 31st May 2019
Wisps of rising wet air developing thunderhead clouds in the southern Bay of Campeche are enjoying environmental conditions suited to developing into a possible disturbance over the coming weekend. This disturbance and increasing moisture will cause an increase in thunderstorm activity across the Bay of Campeche and southwestern Gulf of Mexico. Significant development is not expected however, line squalls may produce murky weather and the odd gust offshore with potential flooding across portions of eastern and southern Mexico in the early part of next week.
As far as storm development is concerned, stand easy for now.
