Rain across north-west Gulf of Mexico
Wednesday 5th June 2019
Disturbance Two took an early hit from upper level wind shear last night, weakening before making a barely discernible landfall around 150 miles south of the mouth of the Rio Grande. Development of this system is no longer expected. Nonetheless, this did have enough sea time to pick up significant amounts of moisture which will produce heavy rain along the entire north-western Gulf coast across eastern Mexico, south-eastern and south-central Texas into the Lower Mississippi Valley during the next few days.
Rain ashore in the south-western US, otherwise stand easy.
