2019 storm season. Rehearsal time for the closing scene.
Monday 21st October 2019
Disturbance Fifty gave up the chase as it approached the coast of Nicaragua and is now off radar.
NESTOR is also off screen now, seaborne after leaving the eastern seaboard without redevelopment. This, despite a forecast of hell and brimstone by the Canadian guy.
Disturbance Fifty Three is about 350 miles north-east of the mouth of the Amazon creeping west. This groundspeed would under normal circumstances allow plenty of time to pick up moisture and develop something meaningful, but environmental conditions are rather unfavourable and development is not expected.
Just today, this has an end of term feeling to it. As usual, I will be the last one to throw caution to the wind.
