New disturbance close to Yucatan peninsula

Wednesday 23rd October 2019

As often occurs towards the end of the season, a new disturbance has piped up in the western Caribbean. Disturbance Fifty Four is close to the south-eastern coast of the Yucatan peninsula producing disorganised shower and thunderstorm activity. This will track slowly northwest and enter the southwestern Gulf of Mexico tomorrow where a short development window awaits. This will be short lived as a cold front approaching from the north will quickly absorb this.

Stand by for heavy rain across the Yucatan peninsula otherwise stand easy.
