Slim chance of development in Gulf of Mexico
Thursday 24th October 2019
Disturbance Fifty Four is currently located over the central Bay of Campeche producing a wide band of shower and thunderstorm activity and is expected to track slowly north over the next few days across the western Gulf of Mexico. This has a brief window of development before it becomes absorbed by a cold front on Saturday and is not really expected to produce anything of significance.
Disturbance Fifty Five has piped up off the coast of Africa producing a large area of shower and thunderstorm activity. Conditions are not favourable for development, and the system will likely weaken over the next few days as it tracks northwest.
