Weather watch southern Florida and Bahamas
Wednesday 13th May 2020
Most of the reputable agencies are buzzing with speculation that a low pressure cell may soon develop in the tail of an eastbound trough, although the Canadian guy doesn't seem to have come out of hibernation yet. The trough itself will move away from the south-eastern seaboard over the weekend with all eyes on what is left in its wake. If this does develop it is likely to do so over the weekend, but by that time, may be headed harmlessly seaward. Interesting to note that this is not far in place and time from where ANDREA kicked off the 2019 season.
Irrespective of development, this will bring some heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms across Florida and the Bahamas over the next couple of days.
Weather watch for the Bahamas, otherwise, stand easy.
