Showers and thunderstorms for the Windward Islands
Thursday 11th June
Disturbance Six was absorbed by an eastbound front overnight, last seen some 350 miles east of Bermuda.
Disturbance Seven is passing around 150 miles north of the mouth of the Orinoco, westbound at around 12 knots. This will cross the Windward Islands overnight, bringing heavy shows and thunderstorms across the area but is unlikely to develop further due to a protective belt of upper level wind shear developing across the Caribbean. This interrupts convection columns, which is most welcome.
Aside from rain and thunderstorms across the Windward Islands, Trinidad and northern Venezuela, stand easy.
