Three disturbances but no development prospects

Wednesday 17th June 2020

Disturbance Ten is now over the coast of North Carolina spreading some heavy rain and thunderstorms to the north across Virginia into Delaware. This has probably peaked and has no further development prospects.

Disturbance Eleven crossed Trinidad and the southern Windward Islands overnight and is pressing on to the west at 18 knots. Upper level wind shear is getting the better of this, so development is not expected.

Disturbance Nine is now mid-way between the Caribbean and the Cape Verde Islands, westbound at 18 knots. There are few line squalls radiating out from the nominal centre but dry Saharan air is keeping convection in check,

Stand easy.
