Rainy night ahead in Georgia
Tuesday 7th July 2020
Disturbance Twenty is tracking north-east across Georgia and should relaunch across the Outer Banks tomorrow where warm water and rising air may prove attractive to cyclone development, although the windfield will be partly over land which may be inhibiting. Regardless of development, this will spread heavy rain and gusty wind across Georgia and the Carolinas from this evening and along the south-eastern seaboard spreading north, perhaps as far north as New England by the weekend.
Disturbance Eighteen will cross the Windward Islands today bringing showers and storm but in the face of upper level shear, is unlikely to survive much into the Caribbean.
Rain for the south-eastern seaboard and Windward Islands, otherwise stand easy.
