Single disturbance causing thunderstorms west of Cape Verde Islands

Monday 13th July 2020

The only feature across the reporting region today is Disturbance Twenty Two which is about half a day steaming west of the Cape Verde Islands, headed a tad north of west at 12 knots. This is currently ploughing through dry air from the Sahara which should limit its activity to showers and thunderstorms which, according to aerial imagery, looks to have been quite impressive overnight.

Stand easy.
