No immediate development in the short term
General outlook 1400z 12th June 2013
A determined fragment of disturbance five reached the Gulf of Panama this morning and will be ashore, done and dusted tonight.
Disturbance six is now centred a couple of hundred miles due north of the Amazon delta and making a spirited attempt west at about 15 knots but upper level shear will stifle any development.
Aerial imagery shows clouds are gathering in the north-west Caribbean which could be the precursor to formation of the area of low pressure which is exciting the modellers. Regardless of development, there will at least be locally heavy rainfall from the Yucatan to north-eastern Mexico over the coming week.
