Three weakening systems and one slight chance in the east
General overview 1700z 15th October 2013 from west to east –
Disturbance sixty five is about 350 miles south-sou'west of Bermuda and moving safely north east at 10 knots. This is in a barrage of upper level shear and has probably had its fifteen minutes of fame.
Disturbance sixty three has weakened since yesterday and is now about 450 miles east of the Leeward Islands and moving to the northwest at 10 knots, where wind shear awaits.
Disturbance sixty four is now around 550 miles north east of the Amazon delta moving to the west-nor'west at 12 knots. On this track, this will pass to the north and east of the Caribbean.
Disturbance sixty six is the only disturbance showing any enthusiasm. Currently centred about a day and a half west of the Cape Verde Islands moving west at 15 knots. Conditions ahead give this a slight chance of developing over the next 5 days as it forges on towards the west.
