One single disturbance approaching the Caribbean

Disturbance sixty six is now 650 miles east-sou'east of St. Lucia and headed west-nor'west at a fair pace - 20 knots. This reckless ground speed alone is enough to prevent development, let alone a thick band of upper level shear however, the disturbance will produce some enhanced showers and storms over the Lesser Antilles late on Saturday and into Sunday but little more than that, really.

At present, there are no signs of any low pressure cells developing however there is no change our view yesterday that there may be a development in about a week from now.

Stand easy.
