Suspicious Approach - Gulf of Oman - 1413Z 24 February 2014
The MSC-HOA reports the following suspicious approach to an unidentified merchant vessel in the Gulf of Oman yesterday, 24 February, at 1413Z, 60nm south of Bandar-e-Jask, Iran:

Alert number 007 / 2014.
At 1413 UTC / 24-02-2014 a Merchant Vessel reported being Suspiciously Approached by one skiff launched from Mother ship, black hull, blue wheelhouse with canvas awning, in position 24 37N 057 43E (Gulf of Oman) Two persons seen on Mother ship. Vessel is safe.
VESSELS ARE ADVISED TO KEEP WELL CLEAR OF THIS POSITION AND TO EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION IF IN VICINITY. REPORT ANY SUSPECTED OR ACTUAL PIRATE ACTIVITY TO UKMTO DUBAI, BY PHONE: +97 150 552 3215 OR E-MAIL: UKMTO@EIM.AE.
