Disturbance Three mid-Atlantic development unlikely.
Disturbance Three piped up late yesterday, making a small low pressure hole in an otherwise uniform surface pressure chart of the reporting region. This is now centred around 550 miles to the east-nor'east of the Amazon delta and is headed west at 12 knots. Despite the clear skies, there are some very strong upper level winds over the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico which will put paid to any thoughts this system may have of meteorological glory. A slight increase in showers and thunderstorms is possible for portions of the Lesser Antilles later this week as this passes.
