Disturbance Twelve upgraded but unlikely to maintain organisation

Disturbance Twelve showed a burst of enthusiasm last night and was rewarded with an upgrade to Tropical Depression Two (one down from a named storm) but has since hit upper level shear and is losing organisation again, This system is now centred about 750 miles north of the Amazon delta and is headed slightly north of due west at 14 knots with maximum sustained winds of just 30 knots. The chances of the depression becoming a tropical storm are decreasing and should weaken to a tropical wave by the time it reaches the eastern Caribbean. The depression or its remnants will produce enhanced showers and thunderstorms for the Leeward Islands on Thursday.

Stand easy.
