Two weak and fading disturbances only
Disturbance thirty nine is 550 miles north nor'west of the Amazon delta and is moving west-nor'west at 4 knots. The system could strengthen today but is already encountering upper-level wind shear thus development is not expected.
Disturbance thirty eight is three days west of the Cape Verde Islands and is moving west-nor'west at 3 knots. A general west-nor'west motion is expected over the next few days. It will encounter upper-level wind shear in a day or two and weaken thus development is not expected. A series of cold fronts is expected to move into the Gulf of Mexico over the next 2-3 weeks. Overall conditions are not expected to be favourable for development. However, fronts over the Gulf occasionally trigger tropical cyclones. Stand easy.Back
