Disturbance three battling wind shear in NE Caribbean
Overview Saturday 30th June 2015
Disturbance two is still over 400 miles east of Florida. This is still creeping west but weakening continually and likely to dissipate before reaching the coast.
Disturbance three is just south of Hispaniola now and moving west at 12 knots in the face of strong wind shear. Deceleration and a turn towards the north will follow in the next few days. Conditions may then become more favourable once the system moves into the northwest Caribbean, eastern Gulf, or into the Bahamas. It is possible that an area of low pressure may form by next Thursday, and it could bring heavy rainfall to parts of the Florida Peninsula late next week but not likely to be impressive.
