No storm development expected
General overview Thursday 6th August 2015
Disturbance twenty has been absorbed by a frontal system in the western sub-tropical Atlantic. Game over.
Disturbance twenty one has weakened again as it creeps towards the southern Caribbean, where a wall of wind shear awaits to put it out of its misery. This is little more than a weak area of low pressure moving west at 8 knots. Development is unlikely but showers and storms are possible for the Lesser Antilles over the next 48 hours.
Disturbance twenty three is now about a day west of the Cape Verde Islands and still moving slowly west. There seems to be less storm chatter today amongst the riff-raff. There is no sign of development at present.
