More early to mid-season doldrums
From west to east;
Disturbance Twenty Four is passing the Netherlands Antilles as it plods on to the west at 15 knots. This is producing showers across the islands of Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire but not expected to develop further.
Disturbance Twenty Five has opened up into a monsoon trough close to the Cape Verde Islands, having hardly moved over 24 hours. This is likely to remain in the area until the middle of the coming week before striking out to the west. By then, environmental conditions may be marginally more favourable for development.
