Forecasters discarding cyclone speculation as 2022 season heads towards a close.

| Storm Report 2022

Like nutrition and flavour in a Pot Noodle, tropical cyclone development has all but deserted the reporting region as the season draws towards a close. Nonetheless, like pursuing the solitary piece of sweetcorn in the bottom of the plastic cup, we continue to chase the last potential pressure gradient to its conclusion even if increasing frontal activity may seem akin to us pursuing this task with a single chopstick. At the moment, our eyes are on ripples in pressure systems in the western Atlantic and closer to the Caribbean. As far as the Gulf of Mexico are concerned, we feel fairly certain that the season is done, as lusty upper level wind shear and cooling waters would suggest both pot and chopstick can safely be thrown out of the truck window. Otherwise, a couple more days yet.

Obviously, opinions expressed are my own and not those of the syndicate. Particularly those of waste disposal, driving whilst eating and the nutritional value of dehydrated foods.

Stand easy.
