From west to east;

Disturbance Ten is currently crossing the Windward Islands, westbound at a steady 16 knots. On this heading the disturbance will cross the Caribbean over the next few days, fanning out some heavy showers and thunderstorms, making for the general direction of the Cayman Islands. Conditions in the north-west Caribbean are marginally favourable for development, where a weather watch will be needed towards the weekend.

Disturbance Eleven is new today, having formed around midway between the Cape Verde Islands and the Caribbean. This is following the well-trodden path west at 14 knots into a currently unfavourable development environment.

Medium term weather watch on north-western Caribbean otherwise stand easy.
