Early hurricane watch for southern Caribbean.
From west to east:
Disturbance Thirty Seven is passing between Trinidad and Grenada, slightly north of westbound at 10 knots. This is expected to maintain this track over the next few taking system across the southern Windward Islands today and the Netherlands Antilles tomorrow. Landfall is expected overnight on Sunday in Nicaragua. Environmental conditions are expected to become more favourable for development over the coming weekend and may reach strong tropical storm or even hurricane intensity when it reaches Nicaragua but there are no indications that this will reach the Gulf of Mexico.
Tropical depression Twelve is now 500 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands headed north-west at 10 knots. This is battling upper level shear and is predicted to slowly weaken to a remnant low pressure cell over the next 24 hours without bothering anyone.
