Weather watch for southern Caribbean.

| Storm Report 2022

From west to east:

Disturbance Thirty is now approaching the Netherlands Antilles headed west at 12 knots producing heavy rainfall and gusty winds across the south-eastern Caribbean and along the coast of Venezuela. This is expected to deepen into a tropical depression tomorrow and then rapidly form a tropical storm with hurricane intensity expected overnight on Saturday as it approaches the Mosquito coast of Nicaragua. It remains most unlikely that this will turn north to enter or impact the Gulf of Mexico.

Tropical Depression Twelve continues to lose shape as it is buffeted by upper level wind shear. Currently 500 miles due west of the Cape Verde Islands, this has turned and is now headed north-west at 12 knots and it is likely that this will dissipate overnight tonight.
