Merged disturbance shaping up for harmless track across central Caribbean

| Storm Report 2022

From west to east;

Disturbance Forty Two caught up with and has been absorbed by Disturbance Forty One which is the remaining dominant partner. This is a broad trough of low pressure across the south-central Caribbean centred around 300 miles south-sou’west of Puerto Rico headed west-nor’west at 11 knots. Thunderstorms remain disorganised however conditions will become more favourable for the disturbance to develop tomorrow as it passes to the south of Hispaniola. This is still predicted to be short-lived and weak but I am still urging caution although beginning to see a relatively harmless track towards northern Nicaragua by Wednesday night.

Disturbance Forty Three is now 150 miles west of Bermuda and set to track slowly to the north-east and pass just north of Bermuda late tomorrow. This doesn’t seem to have any interest in development or longevity.

Stand easy.
