Joint disturbance expected to make unremarkable Caribbean crossing.

| Storm Report 2022

From west to east;

Disturbance Forty Three is now 200 miles south-west of Bermuda heading north at 10 knots. This is starting to slow down and may track close to Bermuda at the beginning of next week. There will be  brief development window but this will be short lived and by the time this nears Bermuda, it should have weakened to little more than a patch of thunderstorms with some heavy rain in squalls.

Disturbance Forty One is over the eastern Caribbean moving to the west at a leisurely 5 knots. Thunderstorms have increased during the past 24 hours but remain disorganised. Conditions are forecast to become more favourable for development over the coming weekend. Closing from astern, Disturbance Forty Two is closing at 15 knots and is likely to be absorbed by its predecessor over the next day or two. The joint venture should then track west towards central America ETA around a week today. The general consensus is for this to make an unremarkable Caribbean crossing. I should know better than argue with the experts, but wouldn’t stake my shirt on that if I was sailing in those waters and would post a prudent weather watch.

For the time being, stand easy.
