New weak disturbance approaching Caribbean
Wednesday 20th July 2016
Disturbance fourteen has opened into a weak low pressure wave across the Florida Straits, central Cuba, and the northwest Caribbean. It is moving west at 15 knots and is not expected to develop due to upper level wind shear.
A new disturbance - fifteen - has formed about 260 miles east of the Windward Islands and is moving west at 20 knots. This will produce enhanced showers and thunderstorms across the Lesser Antilles today but otherwise nothing to get excited about. No development is expected.
