Let's hear it for upper level wind shear

Tuesday 6th June 2017

Disturbance three is now loosely centred around 100 miles south-east of the mouth of the Mississippi as it heads east-nor'east towards an unremarkable exit into a cold front. Some enhanced showers are likely but little else.

Disturbance four is closing on Trinidad, currently on a westerly heading at about 15 knots and expected to remain so. Some showers and the odd roll of thunder are likely as this glances the coast of Venezuela but wind shear will prevent any tropical development.

Let's hear it for upper level wind shear.

Stand easy.
