Weakening Disturbance One headed for the Florida panhandle
Wednesday 16th May 2018
My apologies to those of you who received yesterday's report a few short hours ago. Modern technology. We never had server problems with semaphore.
Disturbance One is now centred around 120 miles south of Tallahassee, northbound at about 6 knots. This has no discernible shape to it now, so will slope ashore overnight with little more than increased shower activity and the odd roll of thunder across the Florida panhandle.
A number of keen modellers are beginning to salivate over the possibility of a disturbance piping up in the far south-west Caribbean late next week. We'll keep a weather eye on this. Absolute speculation in my view. Naturally, the Canadian guy has thrown his hat in the ring.
Stand easy.
